- The 1540 was made to work with a VIC-20. The 1541 will work, but is a
- little slower; there's a special command that can speed it up to VIC-20
- speed. It's probably in the FAQ, or in the manual if you're lucky enough
- to find a drive with a manual. As for 80 columns, it's theoretically
- possible to interface an 80-column video chip such as the 6845 or 6545 to
- any microcomputer, but I don't know if anyone's done that with a VIC-20.
- If you shop around, you can probably find a C64 for little more than the
- price of a VIC.
